Managing the Altitude

Snowbird is located at 8,530 feet above sea level. Altitude sickness CAN affect visitors to varying effects, but the symptoms are rarely cause for concern. Those visiting the area for the first time are more likely to report a headache or dizziness because their bodies have never had to adjust to higher altitudes. Those who visit higher altitudes on a regular basis, however, are somewhat used to that uncomfortable feeling you get as your body adjusts to less oxygen. Tips to manage the altitude:

  • Stay Hydrated – remember to bring your water bottles as bubblers are located throughout the resort.
  • Acclimate Slowly
  • Limit Alcohol
  • Get Enough Sleep

Attire - What to Pack

Business casual attire is appropriate for the conference. We also encourage you to bring a jacket or sport coat since the conference is hosted in air-conditioned rooms that tend to run cool.
